Answers:
brushing is very important!. especially when you're going out!! you should brush your teeth when you wake up, but before breakfast because you have to get rid of all that yucky bacteria! you dont really have to brush after breakfast unless you have a huge breakfast like eggs and bagels and toast and cereal all at the same time!
always brush after every meal!. after lunch and dinner!. you dont have to brush after little snacks, but i suggest you brush after eating chocolatey things (chips ahoy, oreos, any chocolate) or candy (gummies) because you will get cavities!.
and always brush before bed!. you need to do this because it kills all the extra bacteria left from the day!.

you should floss every morning and before bed!.

and mouthwash should also be in the morning and before bed!.

so you brush normally!.!.!. but every morning you brush, then floss, the moutwash!.!.!.

once i went to the orthodontist and i was told to use mouthwash, brush my teeth, then use mouthwash again!. i felt so fresh and the orthodontist said i brushed good! yay!

hope i helped!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

it depends on how you are brushing your teeth- if you are brushing 3 or more times a day, but aren't actually effectively removing the plaque, then it really doesn't matter how often you are brushing!!!
studies have been carried out to show how effective toothbrushing is using different methods, the best is the "Bass technique" which is basically using round circular motions, angling the brush up underneath the gum margin by your tooth- this will remove more plaque from the flat shiny surfaces of your teeth, and also can remove plaque from 1-3mm underneath the gingival (gum) margin!. You should brush for about 2 minutes, making sure that you use an even pressure all the way round, and spend an equal amount of time on each area of the mouth- people tend to spend only 10% of time brushing the insides by the tongue, and most time on the outside by the cheek of the top left (as we are population of mosly right handers!)

Brushing too hard, or with the wrong type brush will cause damage and may lead to ulcers, or long term sensitivity where you have brushed away the gum- so don't do this!

Also- people say "brush after meals" but it is actually better to do so before- as if you have acidic foods or drinks (such as citrus fruits, fizzy drinks like cola) you will cause some softening of the enamel - as it is attacked by the acid, if you brush straight away, then you are removing the softened enamel, which is a process known as abrasion, and will lead to tooth surface loss and eventual hypersensitivity!. - It is best to wait for about 30 minutes after eating to brush, to let your saliva buffer the oral cavity back up to "normal"

With regards to flossing- this is one of the best ways to remove plaque and deposits from the spaces between the teeth, and where the teeth contact, where even the best most meticulous toothbrushing will miss!. Do do this at least once a day- use a fluoride tape if possible, as this will help to strengthen enamel!. Making sure that you dont go just up and down between the teeth, but go either side of the little triangle of gum so you are getting the plaque from right down to root of the teeth, as far as it allows!.

Mouthwash- if you have an otherwise healthy mouth, and have meticulously used floss and toothbrushing with a Fluoride (very very important!) toothpaste has very little value!. it is better to not rinse out your mouth at the end of brushing, leaving a bit of toothpaste in the mouth, instead of rinsing, and then using mouthwash- as toothpaste has fluoride etc at a higher concentration than mouthwash, it actually provides more benefit for your teeth!.
if you have gum disease, your dentist of hygienist may have recommended use of an antibacterial mouthwash, then you should use is as they have described!. also, if you really really like using mouthwash, then who am i to stop you- it is minty and fresh, doesnt do anything bad, and can help if you have bridges or braces which are tricky to clean!.

too much information!?! sorry!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
