Question: Is this normal for braces!?
I'm a newbie braceface and my teeth are feeling cramped!. Why do they feel this way, aren't braces supposed to straighten your teeth, not push them together!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Nahh, it's normal!. Braces move the teeth around, together and apart, sevvvvveral times before they're perfect!. Don't worry, you're orthodontist knows what they're doing!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Braces are supposed to move your teeth into where they are supposed to be in order to straighten them, so they're going to feel a little cramped because of the fact they're getting pulled into place!. Sometimes they'll move closer together and sometimes they'll move farther apart, just depends on what the problem is they are needed to fix!. It happens!. I remember mine feeling very uncomfortable like that!. =]Www@Answer-Health@Com

Braces are meant to correct your teeth completely!. They not only straighten your teeth, but slowly bring them to their right positions!. This will hurt for a few weeks at least, but the pain will clear up!. I promise!.

However, every time you get something new added to you braces, such as rubber bands, a herbst, or and expander, this will hurt for a short time as well!.

Your orthodontist knows what they're doing, but if you feel unsure, ask them! They will gladly answer any questions you have about what they're doing and why it will help

I know it hurts now, but the smile you will have after will be SO worth it!!! So keep smiling and endure the pain-- it wont be there long!.

Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I had braces for about 5 years!. It's completely normal to feel that your teeth are cramped!. Especially after you go to get them tightened, they're usually sore for a couple days!. But if you are really unsure you can always talk to your orthodontist to be sure!Www@Answer-Health@Com
