umm i was wondering if i could use my plastic retainer as a whitening tray!? i've heard you can do that!.!.!. how can i do that!? after my braces off i want my teeth to be white! :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

You should be able to use your Essix (clear) retainers as a bleaching tray as long as the bleaching kit doesn't call for "reservoirs" on the trays!. Speak to your dentist to get your home bleaching kit!. You should be cautious about how much your retainer is covering your gums!. Bleaching materials can be very irritating to the gingiva so you don't want the tray to be holding it against your tissues!. You can have your dentist or orthodontist trim the retainer to optimize its use as a bleaching tray!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
