On a scale of 1 - 10 how much do braces hurt!?!?
Im really scared loads of people on other questions have said 10 :(
Im getting them put on soon on a scale 0f 1 - 10 how much will it hurt!?!?
I dont really wanna have them put on cause loads of people have said it hurts so bad and they couldnt eat for 5 month and someone said they hurt more than anything in the world!.
So im reallllyyyyy scared i know i sound like an idiot but im only 11 so im nevous lol

I was scared at first too, but it's really not that bad!.
It doesn't hurt at all for them to put them on!. If you're a gaggy person, it might be annoying because they put a thing in your mouth while the cement is setting to keep your teeth dry, but they take it out after not too long!.
After a couple of hours, the soreness kicks in!. My top teeth hardly bothered me at all, but my bottom teeth gave me a little bit of a headache (they were soooo crooked)!. As long as you take an asprin or some kind of pain killer right after you get them on, the pain shouldn't be too bad!.
It takes a couple meals to get used to eating with them, and they may rub on your cheeks at first, but really, I promise, It's not that bad!.
I'd give them a 4 out of 10 on the pain scale!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Don't listen to other people they're just trying to scare you! It all depends on your pain tolerance level!. For some people, they don't even hurt!. I have braces and they hurt for about a week to a week and a half, but like I said everyone's different!. Just take an Advil before you get them on to help slow the pain!. You can eat the day you get them just eat soft foods for the first few weeks!. I was really scared too!. On a scale of 1-10 it really all depends!. After about 3 weeks its like they're not even there! Also, your ortho!. should give you wax to put on the bracket to ease your pain!.

Oh God! Those people who said that it hurts for 5 months are very dramatic!. They don't hut, but they feel very very very weird!. They do make it a pain to eat for the first 3 days and they will actually hurt when you go to the orthodontist every month for him/her to change the wires or just do their magic!. Don't worry, I was just as scared as you were but take it from me you'll live :)!. And besides think of it this way have a little discomfort once a month, for about 3 years BUT you have a beautiful smile for the rest of your life!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
My daughter is 11 and just got braces!. When they were put on, she had to eat soft foods and take tylenol for about two days, same thing when they tighten up the braces!. She has had them on for about six months, and her teeth look beautiful!. I suppose if you're happy with the results then the pain will be worth it!. She's kind of a baby about pain sometimes, but not so much about the braces, so I'm assuming it's not that bad!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
all the hype of people saying they kill is kinda rubish u can expectpain i mean your teeth are moving in your jaw so yeah they hurt but not that much ohhh no they dont hurt for 5 months too weeks maximum and ice helps and i know this as i had braces and remember each day after braces(excluding the day after) will get better and better apart from wen u get them tightenedWww@Answer-Health@Com
Dont be scared!! Lots of ppl i knw have jus got braces and they r scared jus like u!. That is normal tho, many ppl think its gonna hurt but it doesnt! Jus try not 2 think about!. From a scale from 1-10 i would say 2!! But im not gonna lie 2 u, it hurts more when they take them off!. Hope i helped!!Www@Answer-Health@Com
they hurt pretty bad, but you will be happy with the end results!. I just got mine adjusted yesterday, and I found out my last adjustment is on August 7th, then I go for impressions on September 17, I get them off on October 8th, and I have a check-up on November 11!. They hurt when you first get them!.I couldnt eat the first day i got mine on!.But after a while you get used to it!.After that mine only were a lil sore after i got them tightened evry month!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
