I recently had my wisdome teeth out, it will be a week tomorrow, and i developed dry socket in both sides of my lower jaw!. i did go and get it packed with medicine then i had the gaws removed, unfortunatly this didnt help!. i was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on what i could do to promote healing in this crater in my mouth!. Please the pain is excruciating and the oxycodone isnt helping!.!.!. I read some where that you cant really do anything, but oil of cloves might help heal it!? i need help!. ouch!Www@Answer-Health@Com

What you know is true!. I'm a dental professional and have experienced dry socket first hand!. I was taking the narcotics they prescribed and ibuprofen and the pain wouldn't cease!. The packing they used should have had clove oil in it, and you're right it doesn't really help that much with pain, plus having the socket packed makes the healing time longer so the pain stays longer!. =( You've just gotta let it heal, try to keep the area clean!. Rinsing with warm salt water promotes healing and makes it feel a little better while you're swishing!. but that's about it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
