Everyone in time will have a cavity or two!. Definitely go to the dentist, as they can teach you how to reduce your risk for them, and treat the ones you have!.

A good dentist will insert a needle at the gum line, and numb you, then insert the needle a little further, and numb some more, etc, till they get to the root of the tooth!. You may feel some fleeting pain while drilling, but it's not worse than a bee sting, and doesn't last as long!.

You should expect that your mouth will be numb!. If you are athletic, exercise after your filling will reduce the amount of time that you are numb!. I wouldn't try eating or drinking during the first hour or so regardless, as you may spill!.

You can also feel free to call the dentist, and ask them what to expect!. To them it's a job, and they sometimes forget we don't know what they do, but usually if you ask, they'll be happy, even excited, to answer your questions!Www@Answer-Health@Com

AMEN TO THAT! hahaha I will certainly say a set of prayers for you tonight, because I am petrified of cavities, too!. I had to get 2 fillings 2 years ago, and I am deathly afraid of needles!. So i took anxiety attacks and everything, but honestly, by the time the needles are going into you, the novicane will have already started to work, so you won't feel pain per-say!. The only part that bothered me was the drilling, but dentists can do this stuff with their eyes shut!. I hope this makes you feel better, because hearing stuff like this helped me!. And it would help to bring your headset/iPod to listen to while they're doing everything!. Listen to a cheerful song that makes you happy!. And when they put in the needle, close your eyes!. And you, my dear, shall be set! Best of luck! :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Don't worry, it won't be as bad as you think it's gonig to be!. I've had a couple cavities myself and it's really not painful getting them filled!. The scariest part is the sound of the drill!.!.!.but don't worry, it's just a sound! You may even want to tell your dentist how scared you are and maybe he/she will give you some extra shots of numbness (which don't hurt) just to be safe! And if you do feel any pain (i really doubt that you will), just let the dr!. know what you're feeling! Good luck, but you don't need it :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Cavities are nothing to be afraid of!. Just go to the dentist!. Getting them fixed hurts less than having to deal with them!. But if you must, yes, I will pray to both Jesus and Buddha on your behalf!. God bless!Www@Answer-Health@Com
