Question: How is the experience of volunteering at a dental clinic!?
I am planning on becoming a dentist in the future!. Right now Im an undergrad, and its summer, and I should go and volunteer at a dental clinic!. However, I am feeling a little akward on going to a clinic and asking to be an oberver, volunteer, or whatever!. I think it would be so akward to just watch people being worked on, and getting on the way of the dentist!. Could anyone give me an advise of what I should do when going to a dental clinic to ask to volunteer there!? Most dentists are excited to share with a perspective dental student their daily routine!. You could be prepared by writing a letter to the dentist and having it in hand when you go to the front desk staff!. Introduce yourself, tell them you are interested in going to dental school and wanted to see if you could meet the dentist that works there and observe him for the day!. What state do you live in and where will you be applying to school!? If you were in Maryland I could suggest a dentist to contact!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
