Pain in another molar after wisdom teeth extraction?!

Question: Pain in another molar after wisdom teeth extraction!?
I had my wisdom teeth out a week ago!. I followed the dentists' instructions (irrigating the sockets, eating the right foods, plenty of sleep, etc!.) I seemed to have healed, pretty much, but now I have a throb in one of my OTHER teeth!. In front of where I got the bottom right wisdom tooth out, that molar (not the twelve year molar, the one in front of it) REALLY REALLY hurts, especially when I open my mouth!.

Did anyone else experience this!? Is there any reason for it!? Do I have to go back to the damn dental surgeon!? o_OWww@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Sounds like it may be dry socket!. This is when the blood clot (where the wisdom tooth was) is disrupted and the bone is exposed!. The nerves in the bone connect to the nerves that run all along your jaw!. It can cause pain all along your jaw, in your other teeth (to the midline !.!.!.!.the center of your lower jaw) and you may even feel pain in your ear! I'm always surprised that some oral surgeons tell their patients to irrigate the socket!.!.!.this is exactly why!. The blood clot needs AT LEAST one week to become well formed in order for it to heal!. When you irrigate the area, it softens and removes the blood clot!.
If I were you, I would go ahead and see the oral surgeon today, since tomorrow is the weekend and they will probably be closed!. There is nothing "over-the-counter" that you can take for dry socket!.!.!.the pain will remain until the socket is packed with medicated dressing!.
Sorry you are having problems!.!.!.hope you feel better soon!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes! Go back!. You have got a dry socket which can refer pain to another area!. Either go to the surgeon or your dentist!. When was your last check-up!? It is possible that you have a cavitiy in that tooth that needs attention!. Just go! :)Www@Answer-Health@Com
