BROKE my damn tooth (back molar)???!

Question: BROKE my damn tooth (back molar)!?!?!?
So I need some help!
I am actually a denturist, however I have no idea what to do in this case!.
This morning I was eating my Cheerios (literally) with some raspberries in it and all of a sudden I felt this "thing" rolling around in my mouth!. It was LITERALLY half of my upper right back molar!!! Now I know that this tooth had a huge filling put into it 5 years ago (or so), but apperantly I have lost said filling (and most likely one during one of the 2-7 times I was vomiting daily while pregnant with my new son)!. The whole tooth (that I can see) is decayed!.!.!.FAN-FREAKIN-TASTIC!!!!! Prob due to the loss of filling!
I called the dentist and cannot get in until WEDNESDAY of next week due to Canada day long weekend!.!.!.!.!.
It doesnt hurt (well a tiny ache, not actual PAIN), but it is very jagged and keeps "snagging" my cheek!.
Does ANYONE have ANY suggestions on how to handle this until I can get into the dentist!?!? It's driving me bananas because it's all I can feel!!!

Thanks!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you can, get to the pharmacy and go down the dental section and get some full strength oral gel and some tylenol if you're still pregnant or breast feeding!. Ibuprofen (motrin) if you're not!. and there should also be some temporary filling material that you can use until Wednesday!. Just take small pieces and gently place it in and around the fractured tooth!. you might have to replace it a few times, but it's better than leaving it exposed!. you can take 3 over the counter motrin or 600mg for the pain as long as you are not pregnant or breast feeding!. Hope this helps a little!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Your filling fell out due to decay either under and/or around the filling (which can happen if not a flosser)!. You could call your local hospital and they can direct you to an emergency dentist or call around there may be one open!. They can smooth down the roughness!. Or you are a denturist maybe you have an instrument that could smooth it down!? If not you will have to wait!. I'd recommend avoiding that area when chewing and don't drink cold liquids to protect the nerve (Assuming its not root canaled)Www@Answer-Health@Com

oral gel!? let me say I hope you feel better soon but im afraid that wont help much!. the dentist will help you but this may be a bad weekend for you!. sorry get well soon!Www@Answer-Health@Com
