Question: I had two cavaites filled yesterday, but they still kinda hurt! Is this normal!?!?!?!?!?
Hi, I had two minor cavaties filled in yesterday, and I just wanted to know how normal it is for you to still be hurting the next day!? I still feel some pain in my tooth, is this normal, and for how long!? I keep worrying that maybe they messed up or that it wasn't a cavatie or somthing like that! I'd appriciate an answer, I'm really nervous!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Coming from a girl who has nearly eleven teeth filled (I had a bad reaction to something as a child), I can definitely tell you that that is normal!.
Because you're probably not used to it, you'll feel it a little more!. This can usually take up to three days or even a week!. It will get better though, I promise!.
Just be gentle until it feels better!.

Also, your cheek or gums might hurt because of the shot, too!. Don't worry :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Sometimes teeth are sensitive to temperature after fillings, which is normal, if it does not go away or gets worse after a week I would go back in!. If you had a silver filling put in, your dentist can put a layer of cement in to protect the nerve from temperature however they would have to replace the new filling!. It could also be that the filling is too high, if the surface is not similar to the way it is naturally, then that can sensitivity can occur too!. You will be fine, give it a few days and try not to drink anything too cold!. If it feels wierd when chewing they can just smooth it down a bit!. You will be fine!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If it hurts with cold things, this is a typical reaction and will go away with time!. However, if time goes on and if you eat something cold and the pain lasts longer than about 15-20 seconds, keep and eye on that tooth and definitely tell your dentist about it!. However, if it hurts when you're chewing, the dentist can just adjust your occlusion!. It doesn't hurt, no injections and I have had it done on many different occasions!. You'll be o!.kWww@Answer-Health@Com

Yes!. The vibration from the drill abuses the gingiva between the teeth and bone!. The discomfort will go away in another day or two!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
