Question: Do I have a Dry Socket!?
I had my wisdom teeth out around 2 pm on friday!. It is now 1 am on monday and I accidentally used a straw to drink from on sunday around 8 pm!. One of my lower wisdom teeth sockets feels empty, but it doesn't hurt at all and there is no bad taste or discoloration of the area!.!.!.The inside looks red as if there is a blood clot in there, but the other socket feels like there is tissue or something in it!.
The emptiness compared to the other socket makes me nervous!.!.!.
Do I have anything to worry about!? Or am I just being crazy!?
Is it too late to cause a dry socket!?

While I agree it isn't dry socket-have you had anything red to eat!? You would be surprised the amount of food that gets caught in the holes! I had a medicated mouth wash that squirted in the holes (all 4 of mine were impacted) and whole sandwhiches used to come out!!! Try gently rinsing!Www@Answer-Health@Com
Dry socket occurs on the lower wisdom teeth alot more likely then uppers and that bloodclot/tissues will fall out and fill back in over time just try and keep food out of it, I had both left pulled at once awake no novocaine either it was a rush and a Odd pain/sound, 10min later I was at the bar with 100oz of beer and a bacon cheese burger!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
if there is a blood clot just leave it alone !. !. a dry socket is when the blood clot has been removed from to much vigorous mouth rinsing causing extreme agony after getting your tooth out if it starts to get better then all of a sudden starts to get sore go to your dentist and he/she will wash out the socket pack with an antiseptic what might stay in until the socket healsWww@Answer-Health@Com
There is no mistaking it when you have a dry socket!. The pain is excrutiating!. Also, the pain gets worse instead of better!. It sounds like you are healing normally!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
u dont have dry socket man!.!.!. it is very hard to get it from a straw and thats only the first day,Www@Answer-Health@Com
