My 3 yr old daughter had to have her front teeth removed due to overusing her juice cup!. We thought she just needed caps but she wound up having to have surgery and get the front two removed!. She just had the surgery Friday!. I was devastated and broke out crying!. Will it affect her next set of teeth!? Is this really rare!? Will she be ok!? I feel like a F**ed up mother right now and am very scared!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
She'll be Ok!. I have raised 3 kids and you never know what will affect them!. I had one kid with a mouth full of problems and the other 2 are fine!. I beleive I treated them the same!. Things just happen,!.!.!.
As for the teeth, she may need a temp spacer in there!. My sister's kid had to have all her front ones pulled and they put fake gold ones in (She couldnt afford the white ones-check your insurance company since it was not cosmedic) Her daughter bit a coffee table hard!. See things happen,!.!.!.!.she was 3 too!. We just told her what a sunny smile she had!. She loved it!. Only your doc can tell if she would need them!. Our family naturally has wide spaces between our front teeth and the doctor said it would help the permanet ones grow in straight!. She may not need them,
By the way, from listening to other Mom's over the years, this is not uncommon!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

there is a lot of information on the internet!. i'd look up the web site for the american dental association, they might have some helpful information for you!. and from what i've read and learned in classes that rotted baby teeth can sometimes be so bad to already make cavities and holes in the adult set of teeth that are already in place!. everyone makes mistakes!. just be happy it is a couple of baby teeth and not a limb, or life!!! you are doin fine!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'm so sorry for your daughter!. I had problems with my baby teeth and I got teased a lot by my peers!. Her next set of teeth in all likelihood will be fine but you gotta teach her not to give a darn about what people say about her and her look!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'm not sure anyone here could be of much help!. Your best bet would be to call the dentist that removed the teeth and ask him!. He's a dentist for a reason!. He obviously knows what he's doing and would have some helpful advice for you, I'm sure!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
