Question: Should I be scared because I am getting a Root Canal on Thursday!?
I've never had one before, and I keep asking my mom what it's gonna be like, and she is telling me all the things that make me not want to get it, so should I be scared about it!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Don't be scared its not all that bad actually!.It gets a pretty bad rep!.But really the only thing actually hurts is getting your mouth frozen and after wards your might have a sore jaw and tooth!.But otherwise it doesn't hurt a bit!.And plus after wards your tooth is fixed and it will feel alot better its like a brand new tooth!!So don't worry you may be nervous at first but once they actually start the root canal all the nervousness goes away!Www@Answer-Health@Com
Just because your mother had bad experiences does not necessarily mean you are going to!. The modern way to do a root canal has improved significantly, especially with rotary files!.
Once you are numb, you wont' be able to tell what your dentist is doing!. Patients should not be able to tell (once the tooth is numb) whether a simple filling is done versus a root canal!.

Don't be scared!. It really isn't all that bad!. The main reason root canals get a bad rep is because the people saying that had a lot of infection and inflammation around the tooth, causing the local anesthetic not to work as well!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
