Question: Is my bite changing with essix retainers!?
i just got my braces off 2 weeks ago!. I got one of those essix retainers for both top and bottom!. ive been wearing the retainers religiously 24/7!. i noticed that my teeth are straight but my bite is gradually changing into a little bit of an overbite somewhat like before!.!.!. are the essix retainers suppose to keep my teeth straight and maintain the bite as well!? is it because my retainers are loose!?!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

yes, essix retainers actually provide a more advanced way to hold your teeth and bite together than hawley retainers, they are as well more comfortable and less noticable!. If you feel your retainers are lose and will not stay on your teeth at all!. Call your orthodontist for a checkup on them!. And everyone is supposed to have a small overbite!. The term overbite generally isnt bad in different circumstances!. As everyone gets their braces off!. You should be left with a small overbite, Your teeth are not meant to connect right above each other, the upper teeth should tend to go over the bottom teeth very slightly!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
