Severe Toothache! Please help!?!
Question: Severe Toothache! Please help!!?
I am suffering in great pain with a top tooth at the moment, i visited my dentist yesterday and he examined my teeth and took x-rays but found nothing wrong at all!. He has put me on a weeks course of 500mg amoxacilian and i am due back on monday for another xray so he can compare them!.
There was no sign of any infection in any tooth or any reason why i am in so much pain but i'm hoping a dentist is about who can advise me on pain relief as i had no sleep last night and what i can do to ease the pain off for a while so i can get at least a few hours sleep!
Many Many thanks in advance

Ibuprofen (sp!?) will help you with the inflammation if in fact it is a toothache b/c it is an anti-inflammatory!. This year, after years and years of tooth problems, I was diagnosed with trigeminal neuralgia!.!.!.could your pain be another condition!? Maybe a call to your MD might enlighten you further!. I hope you don't have the TN but my neurologist told me this year the vast majority of my dental work was very likely unnecessary,Www@Answer-Health@Com
try clove oil!.
it is bitter, but will help!. rub it on the gum and around the tooth!.
I have been to a dentist for a root canal - he used clove oil after the root canal to take the pain away!.
hope it helpsWww@Answer-Health@Com

yea the alchy might help, dont worry the amoxicillin will kill it off anyways in a few days!. Basically just take some advil and get some ice on your mouth, that'll help for awhile also drink lots of slurpees and ice cold drinks and smoothies!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Strong alcohol!? Seriously, I had a toothache last year (had to come out) and the only thing that helped me sleep was to swill whisky round my mouth!. It hurts like hell for a second, and then goes numb!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I feel for you - there is nothing worse than tooth pain and I've had 4 kids!.
Call your dentist back and see if there is something he can prescribe to take the edge off because IB Proffen isn't cutting it!. 4 IB is prescription strength so even if you haven't - tell him/her that is what you are taking!. Tell him/her you aren't asking for a months supply - you jjust want to get some sleep and he might give you a strong med that will knock you out!.
Have you tried over the counter sleep/pain aids like Tylenol PM - combo might help dull the pain a little and help you sleep thru it for a little while!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

don't mess with any of these answers! Get to emerg(you will have a long weight), but you will then be seen by the dental resident!.!.he will do x-rays, exam!., whatever is necesarry and prescribe pain killers!. As you can imagine, a lot of people just want drugs, so they will screen you carefully!.!.getting a copy of the xray would help!. i have never heard of prescribing an antibiotic for nothing!.!.there is no diagnosis, no infection, you should be a lot better after 48 hours on the antiibiotic, and the naprosyn which is an anti-inflamatory should have decreased the pain, if it's inflamed! i know, i just had 3 extraction and a dry socket!. you could try a walk in clinic, to help solve the waiting around part!.!.or go to another dentist(if your covered)!.!.but this guy is missing the boat!.!.although i had one incident where all of my teeth hurt!.!.terribly!.!.they didn't know what to do!.!.so they did nothing!.!.i wanted them to give me a bunch of locals, just to get a beak from the pain!. normally the dr!. would prescribe tylenol#3(tylenol and codeine), occasionally if it is very strong percodan or percocet(oxycodone plus aspirin in 2 tylenol in the other!. i feel for you brother!.!.nothing worse!.!.or lastly, get back in and see him today! oh it's canada day!.!.if your in canada go to emerg!.

from my overstanding of Holistic health, the electromagnetic meridian in the body ( which we all have) is being interfere with by something!. Could it be you have a tooth with filling!. Antibiotic will allow you own immune system to break down in order for it (antibiotic, against life) to work!.
In summary of what i have just said the reason for your pain is a sign that your energy (electromagnetic meridian ) is being interfere with!.
seek help from biologic dentist!. search google you will find some in toronto, canada!. question your Dentist!. why , prescribe500g anmoxillym(what ever), no need for that right!. Don't be suprise if on your return visit , this time he will find something via xray!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
