Question: My daughter may need a dental plate!. Does this hurt!?
My daughter may need a dental plate for overbite!. Anyone experienced this!? Any pitfalls, and how were your results!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

i had one when i was 9 for pretreatment of braces to guide my teeth into the proper arch it worked but then as soon as i got my back teeth in they went a bit out again but it definately made my smile nicer and it would mean an extra year in braces for me so im 13 now so that would mean i would get them off in 2 years :>
im so glad i had a plate when i was younger because they do such a good job!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.your daughter has an overbite so did i and it improved it dramatically and left the end lining up result to the elastics that im wearing with my braces at the moment!.
here are the pro's and con's of a dental plate:
C's: its hard to talk when you first get it as its obstructing the tongue to the roof of the mouth!.!.!.!.!.!.but within 2-3 days its back to normal you just have to make sure that your daughter practices talking and saying the words that start with the letter she will have difficulty saying!.!.for me it was S so i would say the she sells sea shells poem!. it would sound funny and kind of embarrising at first but then she will get better at saying it
C's: they do such a great job and really help you save money in the future instead of getting braces you will only be paying a couple of hundred $!. and having orthodontic work is the road to a healthy +beautiful smile :>
just make sure cos i see people all the time that lisp in them and take them out!.!.!.!.!.make sure that if she lisps tell her to practice and not to just take it outWww@Answer-Health@Com
