How to make your insurance company pay for orthognatic surgery?!
Question: How to make your insurance company pay for orthognatic surgery!?
In case of orthognatic surgery, general insurance is responsiable for paying all the expenses!. If I need that surgery to fix my overbite, so my teeth stop wearing out so bad, will it still be considered a cosmetic reason!? I know they approve this surgery only if you jaw hurts or you experience some other pain bacause of your overbite!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Natasha,
It really depends on two things: (1) The specifications of your health coverage and most important (2) How the Oral Surgeon's office codes the procedure!. Like most procedures, the payment is in the art of submitting a properly coded insurance form!. Miscode a procedure, the patient pays for it!. My oral surgeon has no problem coding orthognathic surgery for health care coverage!. Hopefully, yours won;t either!.
Best of luck to you and Hooray! This really is a life changing procedure for patients! I hope it will be for you too!Www@Answer-Health@Com
