Problem at the dentist..please help?!


Question: Problem at the dentist!.!.please help!?
Today I went to the dentist to get cavities filled!.!.!.I have had this done before!.!.when I was younger!.!.!.today when they put this flavored swab in my mouth and then did the shot I slowly began to feel nauseated and my anxiety disorder probably didn't help it!.!.!.anyway I almost threw up!.!.the feeling of my tongue being numb and near the back of my throat made me feel sick and I couldn't stand to have anything in my mouth!.!.!.so I had to come home and reschedule!.!.!.

anyway, I just want peoples' advice on how to relax and not have this happen again--what can I do!?

Also, I went to this procedure on an empty stomach because I thought it would be best!. Don't know if that's the case but I typically have an overly sensitive stomach in the first place!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You can take deep breaths to relax yourself while you're in the chair!. Also, close your eyes and think of something nice!.!.like being on a Hawaiian island!.

If you have an overly sensitive stomach you probably shouldn't eat a big meal before you go!. Maybe just a little snack!. My son, when he was younger, used to throw up in the bowl whenever he had to have work done!. Dentist really loved him!Www@Answer-Health@Com
