Question: Do I need to brush after eating milkshakes!?
I just got my top braces on today!.!.I know i'm supposed to brush after every meal, but do milkshakes and drinks count!? Thanks!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Answers:
After a milkshake, I would, but you don't have to brush after every drink you have; just after every meal or every thing you eat!.
Also, for the flossing, just keep flossing, your gums will get used to it; they are just very weak at this moment!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Call your orthodontist about the gum problem and the flossing to make sure you are doing everything the way he / she wants it done!.
Milkshakes have high sugar content, so you will need to brush that off to prevent it from starting a cavity!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Don't brush immediately after eating and drinking, wait half an hour to an hour as the sugar can act a bit like a paint stripper and strip the enamel off your teeth!. Give your saliva time to neutralise your mouth!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
depends on how long you've been flossing!. + braces im sure that sucks!. just keep flossing and it will get better, like way better!. also use waxed floss, that helps a lot!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
