Can a filling cause pain in my ear?!

Question: Can a filling cause pain in my ear!?
i recently had a back tooth filled on the right side of my mouth and about 2 days after having it done i started feeling sharp pains in my upper jaw & my right ear!. however, i was swimming last weekend and used to get swimmers ear all the time when i was younger - i can't go to the doctor until tomorrow and it's realllly bothering me, could it be my filling causing the pain!?

i had a problem similar to this a couple years ago, i kept having ear pain on my left side for the longest time, probably 5 months, i had two ear infections but once they went away i still was experiencing pain!.!. evidently it was from a root canal done wrong, i switched dentist and had the tooth extracted and the pain was gone!.!. i was hoping i'd never have to experience the constant pain again but i am now :( help!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you pull on your earlobe and it makes the pain worse, then it's probably an ear infection!. If it makes no, or only a little difference to the pain then it's more likely to be due to the tooth, particularly if it was a very deep filling, it may be that it was too close to the nerve and now you will need to have a root canal done!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Its definetly a possiblity!. Whenever I go to the dentist I always get upper jaw pain and since the inner ear is connected to the jaw its common to feel pain in both!. (same with ear infections, they often cause your jaw to hurt and visa versa)Www@Answer-Health@Com
