Does wax on braces slow down the process?!


Question: Does wax on braces slow down the process!?
Answers:
Not at all!. Actually, it help's heal your gum's faster, which is always better for the braces process!. Everytime I get my braces tightened, I sleep with wax for three-four days!. It alway's helps!. If your really worried, which you shouldn't be!. Talk to your dentist/orthodontist, they alway's know best!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Everybody is right on this one so far!. No the process isn't slowed down at all and mainly used to prevent abrasion to your lips and cheeks!.

If fact it indirectly makes the process faster b/c you're not in the chair as often as many!

Just remember that wax can make it more difficult to brush and to floss!. Make absolutely sure to keep up or increase your oral hygiene habits!. It completely and utterly necessary b/c you'll risk have gum and bone problems which can delay the length of orthodontics!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

No, they don't slow the process down!. It only alleviates any pain or discomfort the brackets might be causing you and in no way does it interfere with the mechanical forces the brackets, wire and elastics have!. I am an orthodontist, and so I know!. :)Www@Answer-Health@Com
