Rotting tooth under crown ?!

Question: Rotting tooth under crown !?
I had a gold crown put on so many years ago I forgot exactly when (15 or so years maybe)!. The crown came off recently after some gum got stuck to it!. I reattached it with some temporary crown cement I got from the drug store, till I can get to a dentist, the remainder of the tooth (stump) appeared to be rotting away, or is it because it it hasnt been brushed in all those years that it looks that way!. I have no pain or any sensitivityWww@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
That is really bad, especially because the crown was metal!. Do you have other metal crowns in your mouth!? Those are VERY bad for you!. I know there has been some controversy over those metal crowns, because my father died of an autoimmune disease and there is some talk that those metal crowns can be harmful!. If you have more, I recommend having them replaced!. Your health is worth whatever money it costs!.

As far as the rotting tooth, I definitely think you should see a dentist!. That doesn't sound right at all!.

I would see a dentist!. If it does get bad, the crown will have nothing to attach to!. Now, they fill the tooth and while doing it, put a little screw/post down into the tooth to hold things together!.!.!.!.!.!.pricey, but may need to be done!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
