Question: Help! I've got braces!.!.!?
Hi, I just got braces fitted today, well it's a mouth plate, and I'm finding really hard to speak normally, I sound like I have a seriously bad lisp!. Can anyone suggest any tips!?!? Thanks xWww@Answer-Health@Com

Alright!. It takes time to get used to braces, as my brother says!. When he got his braces on, it was hard to speak, & very hard to eat (trust me)!. For your speaking concerns, I suggest you practice!. In a week or so, you will get that hang of it!. Now, for eating!. Try eating soft foods, foods that you don't have to chew on!. For example, baby food, yogurt, smoothies, etc!. & then about after a week or two, you can chew other food!. Hope this helps :]Www@Answer-Health@Com
im getting removeable braces sooon =[ and my dentist sed that i wil speak funni for a while!.!.!.
my best friend also has one and she had a lisp for a while but it went away
so i guess its just practice

Good luck!. I could never wear a removable brace!. It irritated me so much that I kept taking it out!. I couldn't bear it!. They gave me a permenant one instead, which worked perfectly!. It was still irritating but I couldn't take it out!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I have had a retainer for many years now and at first i spoke horribly and spit when i did!. Just practice and when your speaking really annunciating!. Dont try to speak too fast and take your time!. It will go away!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
practice speaking to yourself in front of the mirror and find the best way for you to talk to people doing that!.
