Impacted wisdom tooth extraction?!
Question: Impacted wisdom tooth extraction!?
so i am getting all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed friday (4 days) and i am kinda nervous!. 3 of them are bony impacted (whatever that means) and 1 is just impacted!. i will be put to sleep (thankfully)!.
what is the normal recovery time!?!?!? (i know it is different for everyone but about the average)
what are some good soft foods to eat!?!?!?
what should i expect from the procedure and the results!?!?!?
about how long will the procedure take!?!?!? (they told me but its been a month so i forgot)
how will i feel afterwards!?!?!?
what are some good things to keep me occupied while i am recovering!?!?!? (i am 17 and a girl btw)
are there any precautions i should take besides the no eating/drinking after midnight rule!?!?!?
any other info i should know!?!?!?

i dont deal with pain very well!. im like a baby!. and i tend to over think things and overreact to this kinda stuff!.

There will still be pain!.!.!.!.sometimes the pain med you Orthodontic surgeon prescribes may not help much, just depends on your body chemistry!.!.!.!.Ice is always a good thing!.!.!. You may have a little difficulty opening your mouth for a few days!.!.!.!. Your Dr!. should be able to supply you with a list of things that you'll be able to eat comfortably!.!.!.!. avoid using straws or anything that causes a sucking motion!.!.!.!. you don't want to get "dry socket" extremely painful!.!.!.!.!.soup, ice cream, yogurt etc!.!.!. should be ok!.!.!.!. things of a soft or liquid nature!.!.!.!.!. hope that helps!.!.!.!. Full Bony impaction means that your tooth is completly covered by the jaw bone!.
You should expect to have some disocmfort after your surgery but its not unbearable!.
You can eat the same day that you have your surgery but start by eating yogurt and mashed potatoes something that is soft!.
And for a couple weeks try to avoid popcorn peanuts etc!.
The dr will also give you pain meds amd antibiotics
By the third day I would think you will not even really feel it anymore

I got mine taken out a month ago!. It went great! they put me to sleep and I woke up and I was done!. No big deal!. a little sore and tired but nothing too drastic!. Just make sure to take the medicine the doctor gives you and it will be fine! oh and your face will swell up ALOT! so stay in your home for 1-2 weeks!. Ice cream and ice on your face feels amazing on your mouth afterward!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
