Question: I have two questions about braces!?
hey, i just got spacers for braces i will get in one week and i am twelve years old!. they hurt but not bad enough for pain medicine!. i need to know what it actually will feel like to have braces, and what the actual step-by-step process is like!.

I had braces about three years ago so its kind of hard to remember but!.!.!.
As you get the braces put on, it doesnt hurt!. But after that, it starts to get a little painful!.The first week or so will probably hurt, but I never came close to asking/begging for pain medicine!. Neither have any of my friends, for that matter!.
After that, you wont feel your braces at all, unless a wire pops or something!. Then you can just put some wax on it, then go get it fixed, and its back to normal :]
The only time it really hurts other then the first week is when maybe you go to get the wires tightened!. Other then that, no worries!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The step- by- step process process as in bands and wires is different for every person because everyone has a different mouth structure, but usually the wires get thicker every time you go! But if you mean the process of putting them on, first they put the circular metal rings on you're molars that contain a little indention where the wire will go!. Next, they will put this powder stuff (It tastes nasty) to make it dry and then they put this blue( or what ever color it is) glue substance on the tooth and then they put the the bracket on( they may have to take it off and start over sometimes if they mess up)!. They do it on every tooth they need to and if it is the day you get the wire and rubber bands that day, then you get those too(sometimes they make you come back and get that on)!. well i got braces last year and stil have them on!. to me the most painful part was putting the spacers so your good!. umm i guess the next pain to deal with is tightning the wires but thats not much pain at all!. to me it didnt hurt that much just take 2 advils before you go to sleep the first night you get them!. to me the first night was horrible but after that your fine!.

it depends a lot on how many spacers, and where there gonna put the braces on, front , back, top , down, any combination!.
for me braces hurt a helluva lot more than spacers, i got front back and top and bottom!. but my friend said spacers hurt worse because he didnt get a full mouth full of braces when he first got them on!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
