Question: I think i have a failed root canal!?
i have 2 teeth that have been root canal and one of them has a pimple above it!. now it looks like my eye is bulging out a little and i feel pressure!. do you think that this is a typical symptom of a failed root canal!. i will be going to have it looked at soon though!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Bad news first: Yup, you have a failing root canal!. The pimple is an excellent sign of infection!. It's called a parulis, and it's a drainage port from the site of infection (the end of the root of your tooth) to the surface!.
Good news: the infection will "drain" through the pimple area, and it's unlikely that you will have tooth pain!.
You may continue to swell, feel pressure, or even end up with a black eye!. Call your dentist if you haven't already and let them know you are swollen!. We don't like to delay in seeing swollen patients!.
It's likely your dentist will refer you to an endodontist to look at the root canal and give you advice on whether it can be retreated, needs to be extracted, and what other options are available!.
Try to be evaluated while the swelling is present!. It can be helpful in your diagnosis if the dentist can see where it is coming from!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
