Question: I got my wisdom teeth extrcted 2 days ago!.!.!.!?
i was just wondering how long it's going to take to be able to eat solid food again!.!.!.
my face is still swollen and i look like a chipmunk according to my mom, i'm not in too bad of pain, but i'm also on pain killers!.!.
i have difficulty opening my mouth wide enough to even use a spoon to eat pudding!.!.!.
also, i guess this is a 2 in one, but i was also wondering how long it will take for the stitches to dissolve, my doctor never told me!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Different people react differently when they get their wisdom teeth pulled!. I didn't swell up much at all!. Some people are sick for a week!. It took me maybe about 2-3 days before i could eat solid food!. For you, maybe 3-5 days since you have difficulty opening your mouth!. It takes much longer for the stitches to dissolve!. There were several times i thought i swallowed them cause i didn't feel them, but i don't think i did at all!. I'm not sure exactly on the time, but i'd say maybe 2 or 3 weeks!. I had all four of my wisdom teeth extracted around a year ago!. I fell in love with tortilla soup mixed with rice & refried beans!. You can sip that through a straw if you can't open your mouth wide enough to get a spoon in!. I wasn't able to eat solid foods like burgers for around 3 weeks!. But start with soups, then move on to mashed potatoes and pastas, and work your way up from there!.
I'm not sure how long it took for my stitches to dissolve, sorry!.

give yourself a week!. and once the swelling goes down you can ease into eating certain foods!. but be mindful and certain temperatures of food can alarm your wound!. i don't remember how long it took me, but i had all 4 out at the same time!. just give yourself a week!. when it stops feeling tender it should be okay!. but be careful when you start eating solid foods, you dont want to reopen the sore!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
you should wait about five more days till you an eat food again!. it takes about a month or more for the stiches to dissolve!. its not that bad!. ihvae something wrong with my mouth so i cant pull my own teeht, i have to get my dentist to pull every one of them!. ive had all of them taken out now!. i understand what you are going through! try icecream, smoothies, or you can try blending all of your food up into smoothies!. same nutrician, different form!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com
The stitches should disolve in about 10 days, unless they are the non-dissolable type!. My surgeon didn't use any stitches!.
Try just sipping milkshakes (NO straws!) Make sure you are using ice packs on your face!.
