What is viscous lidocine? Is it what the dentist gives you prior to a shot, to k!

Question: What is viscous lidocine!? Is it what the dentist gives you prior to a shot, to kinda numb the area!?
Answers:
It sounds like topical!. Topical can be lidocaine, benzocaine, or another type of caine!. It is in a gel form!. They put it on a Q-tip and place it on the tissue where they are going to give a shot!. It is supposed to numb the tissue so you don't feel the sting of the shot so much!.
Hope this helps!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
