i had this surgery for my front tooth!. the oral surgeon will place the bracket on the tooth under the gum then stitch up the area!. A small piece of gold chain will be left out at the area to be attached to the bracket of the adjacent tooth to pull it in when the orthodonist is ready!. The area will not be very painful but swollen for about 2 days!. eating was not a problem after the first two days!. don't worry about it!. however i must warn you the tooth may not survive, mine didn't, I will be getting an implant even though i am very scared!. i didn't feel any pain during surgery because the doctor put me to sleepWww@Answer-Health@Com
