Question: Does it hurt when you get your braces tightened!?
I got my braces in june and tomorrow will be my first tightening!. Im not really nervous I guess but im just wondering if it'll hurt or not!. When i first got them, they didn't hurt at all ! there was just a little pressure but I could eat solid food!. Like all my friends told me it hurt them but didn't hurt me!. So I hope you understand my question :)

It usually doesn't hurt the day you get them tightened!. You'll just feel pressure!. They next 2-3 days it will hurt so take pain killer and eat soft foods!. Usually the wire is very thin when you first get braces and then they keep putting in a thicker one everytime you go back!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes, the more crooked your teeth are the more it will hurt!. But fortunately, it will only hurt for 24 hours!.!.!. more or less!. Just take an advil/ibuprofen/tylenol one hour before and then 4 hours after your first dosage!.

Yeah, it hurts most of the time, but not all!. Once my orthadontist tightened them and I just thought he didn't do anything!. But it really depends on how tight they tighten it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I had horrible teeth and the braces hurt like B***CH but anyways I realy dont think people have it too bad when they have it for a year or two they are luckyWww@Answer-Health@Com
It hurts because they are putting more pressure on your teeth to make them straight!.

yes when you first get them on they do hurt but after a couple months they don't hurt that much when you get them tightened!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Yup, but it doesnt hurt as much as the first week of braces!. It's pain for 2-3 days maximum!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
It hurts a little and you will feel preasure for about 2-3 days!.
