How can I get my 1 year old daughter to enjoy it when I clean her teeth?!
Question: How can I get my 1 year old daughter to enjoy it when I clean her teeth!?
Everytime I get out her toothbrush, she opens her mouth then turns away and twists in my arms!. It is very difficult!. I want to make it a nice experience for her, so she enjoys cleaning her teeth!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Try teaching her how to do it, by her holding the tooth brush and you moving her arm in the motion, then brush your teeth along with her while she plays with the brush in her mouth!.
With my little boy I made it a game as who can brush their teeth the longest, and the one who wins gets a sticker!.!.!.!.he enjoyed it for a while!. But I didn't really have any trouble getting him to brush his teeth, I cleaned his mouth before he even had teeth so he was used to it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Buy a different "flavor" and act really excited about it!.
Buy a really cute toothbrush - Pooh or Tigger or something!.
If you have any stuffed animals with moveable hands, have it hold the toothbrush, and ask your daughter if she wants you or the stuffed animal to brush her teeth!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

you could try brushing your teeth with her!. or have someone in the family that she really likes to brush their teeth with her!. you can let her hold something while you brush it to keep her distracted!.

Let her pick her own tooth brush and toothpaste!! and have a special place in the bathroom for them! !. !.
You should put on a song that ye can dance to while brushing! u should also start brushin your teeth too wit her! she'll imitate u! it worked for my niece! :) now she loves it and shes only nearly 2! !.!. good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I would take her to the store, let her pick one out!. They have all sorts from Barney to Hannah Montana!. Then I would show her how I do it and let her try!. Remember - use childrens tooth pasteas adult tooth paste can is dangerous if swallowed!. Then let her just play!. It takes a few times!. I ended up having to buy the tooth brush that plays music when it touches the inside of the mouth!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
