Sure it can be!. Pulling your wisdom tooth put a tooth size hole in the jaw where it was rooted in!. If you had a hole that same size in your leg bone, you wouldn't be surprised if it still ached a month later!. And your jawbone is a lot smaller!. Plus, your leg would be in a cast, and you'd be taking it easy and resting!. Unfortunately, you have to eat though, and the jawbone doesn't get much rest!. You could also have some teensy bone or tooth splinters in there, trying to work out!. It happens sometimes, and unfortunately the cure is still mostly time!. You can certainly revisit the dentist to have it checked out to be sure, though!. In the meantime, try applying some heat to the area- with both a heating pad and warm drinks pooled in the cheek pocket, for those times it aches!. Heat helps in the healing process!. And of course, you can take Motrin(ibuprofen) or Tylenol as you like!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I just had one pulled in March!. And it bothered me for awhile!. Come to find out there was 2 little slivers of tooth left in there!. The dentist had to remove one of them!. Just took a minute, but once it was out, it felt soooooooo much better!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

u could have a piece of it still there; take a new x ray!Www@Answer-Health@Com
