Broken Jaw: Cleaning Tips?!

Question: Broken Jaw: Cleaning Tips!?
I just got my jaw broken 2 days ago to fix my massive overbite!. I've been taking codeine and penicillin!. They also removed my bottom 2 wisdom teeth!. And theres 2 stitches (one on each side)of where the wisdom teeth are!. The Dr!. / surgeon says you should clean your teeth many times, for this will make your mouth heal faster and better!. I really want this to happen because it kinda!.!.!.sucks!.
Anyways!.!.!.
I don't use toothpaste because it might sting the cuts and might be hard to rinse out (rinsing might irritate healing mouth and stitches)!. I try to brush allot (2-4 a day), but my teeth don't feel clean, I have to brush really really lightly because it hurts allot!. It's also hard to get the toothbrush into my mouth because it's hard to open my mouth and these these 2 elastics that are in the way!. (I don't think I can remove the elastics)Www@Answer-Health@Com

omg i know the feeling way to well i has sugury 3 weeks ago to fix my cross bite and i know the feeling of not having your mouth clean ughhh it made me have a panic attack lol

you can use tooth paste but VERY little brush VERY lightly and it should not sting because your mouth is numb

you should have a speaical tooth brush its VERY small kinda like a baby one but not as soft
with that though its hard to open u can still brush a lilttle bit just move the tooth brush as much as you can thats what i did but dont force it and what ever!!! you do dont take the rubber bands out!!!!!! i did that today to go to MTV and my jaw moved but it went back to how it looked after it was fixed lol so yeah dont do it!!!!!

do you have those water things to clean between your teeth !? if you do use that on the lightest power and put very little mouth wash thats also what i did and it helps a lilttle

by your next appointment you should get new little elasticas that you can take off to brush and eat so that will also be better

so just do everything VERY gently and try to clean it the best you can
you will be able to open more and more each day so maybe you can try to brush a little more each day it will be hard and sometimes it may hurt but try your best becase this happned to me to so i know JUST how you feel

good luck with everything and use lots of ice to reduce the sweeling fasterWww@Answer-Health@Com

Ask your surgeon if you can use a mouthwash that doesn't contain alcohol in it!. That may help with getting your teeth to feel cleaner w/o stinging!. You can try using a medicine dropper, if needed!.

I hope your jaw heals soon!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
