You might have chronic halitosis, which has many possible causes!. Make sure you brush your tongue when you brush your teeth, and you can try using mouthwash after you brush your teeth!. Keep your fluid intake up, because bad breath is often worse when your mouth & throat dry out!. You can chew sugarless gum or suck on sugarless candy to increase your saliva production throughout the day, too!. (Choose sugarless since sugar might provide food for bacteria that may be contributing to the bad breath!.) It might be a good idea to always carry gum and/or a bottle of water, so you'll be prepared for social situations!. :-)

You should see your doc about this so he/she can make sure there's not an underlying problem that is causing the bad breath!. Certain things like infections, cavities, gum disease, acid reflux, etc!. can cause bad breath, so you need to make sure you don't have anything else going on!. I know it's embarrassing, but this is actually a very common problem and your doc will be able to figure out the problem and help you treat it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I worked in the dental field and got this question all the time!.
Without the whole text book answer, its simple!.
Most of the time it is caused by germs under your gums!. You hear the commercials that gingivitis is under the gums!. That is correct!. But you have to get TO it!. Simply brushing is only get the tops of the teeth and gums, thats not the problem!.
Did you ever floss and smell what is being pulled out!. gross huh!. Thats what people smell on YOUR breath !! You really need to floss everyday and use special brushes to clean UNDER your gums!.
Trust me , they will bleed like crazy at first, thats NORMAL!. thats because all that bacterial has been hiding and eating at your gums and bones!. Get that bacteria out and its nice healthy tissue again!. The longer that bacteria is under there, the more it eats away tissue causing bad breath and loose teeth!.
Go see your dentist!. start out with a fresh cleaning ( yes it will not be pleasant at first but them gums WILL toughen up)!.
The bottom line is either get them cleaned up or deal with a life of bad breath and missing teeth!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Probably the main causes of bad breath are not actually the teeth themselves!.

Assuming yours aren't rotting to pieces and that you visit the dentist regularly and have a check up, this picks up any problem before it becomes a big problem!.

Brush your gums and tongue as well, get a manual tooth brush for that if you use an electric one for your teeth!.
If you don't use an electric toothbrush for your teeth then get one and start!.

Bacteria get on the soft tissues in your mouth and that creates most of any smell!.
If you lick your wrist and can then smell a sulphur like smell there then that's caused by bacteria!.

Also you will find that your digestion can back up and make your breath smell!.!.!.!.!.!.sounds disgusting I know but basically if your digestion isn't working right then to put it bluntly your breath will stink of ****!.

So, electric brush for your teeth and a manual for your soft tissue such as the gums and tongue!.
Pay attention to the gum line, my dentist tells me that cleaning there is more critical than the teeth themselves!.
Make sure you floss, brushes don't get in between teeth and any food left there simply rots!.!.!.!.!.that's where you start getting the bacteria and the sulphur smell I mentioned!.
And take a look at your diet, make sure you are getting fibre to help you digest!.!.!.!.different parts of you don't work independently, they are all related!.
If one part isn't in order then it can have an affect somewhere else you didn't expect!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Many reasons could be a factor!.!.!.

Decay (cavities)
Stomach acid (acid reflux)
Periodontal disease (bacterial infection below the gumline)
Diabetes
Sinus infections!.!.!.!.

Make sure you have regular oral hygiene!.!.!.!.
Brushing 2xday
Flossing 1xday
and adding an "ADA Approved" rinse (Crest Pro Health or Listerine!.!.!.ADA approved means they actually kill bacteria which can cause bad breath)
Tongue scraper
Stay hydrated
and most importantly!.!.!.
Keeping your regular visits to the Dentist and Hygienist

If this doesn't work!.!.!.you need to see your Dentist/Hygienist or Family doctor for further test!.

u might have wuts called *Halitosis*: Most bad breath (halitosis) comes from something in the mouth!.

U should brush teeth, gums, tongue and the roof of mouth (<- the most neglected)!.

Dont scrub your teeth; brush gently in circular motion

Oh, and u should try to floss EVERY time u eat a main meal (breakfast, lunch, dinner) and use mouthwash EVERY time u brush!. Also, if u can help it, brush your teeth 2-3 times a day for about 2 minutes!.

Floss, mouthwash, and brush your tongue, and inside of your cheeks!. Plus watch the food you eat, certain spicy foods, as well as onions will cause bad breath to stay!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Floss between your teeth and then gently down into the gums to get the gunk that toothbrush bristles can't reach!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
