Question: Should I get my teeth cleaned!?!?
I haven't been to the dentist and had a cleaning in about 2 years!. Will the plaque damage my teeth if I go a long time without cleaning!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

B/c it is hard to reach all areas of your mouth with your t/b not all plaque will be brushed away when cleaning your teeth!. This then hardens into calculus [tartar/scale] and if left will cause a gum disease called gingivitis!. If this is not treated it will develop into periodontitis!. Go to your dentist for a checkup and he/she will do a scale and polish then!. However if he/she feels it is necessary they may ask you to see a hygienist! If you live in the UK and wish to have an NHS dentist, you need to visit your dentist at least once a year as you may lose your NHS place and many surgerys are no longer taking on NHS patients! If you wait until something is seriously wrong and find you are no longer an NHS patient due to not having been in 3 years you will end up paying a fortune for treatment privately! An easy way to see if you need your teeth cleaned or not is to open your mouth, and look in a mirror on the back side of your incisors, and see if you see plaque in between them, if you do, you need to go!Www@Answer-Health@Com
You should get your teeth cleaned at least twice a year, otherwise the plaque will stay permanently on your teeth!. Seriously, go see a dentist!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
