I'm 33 wks pregnant, can I get a dental filling?!


Question: I'm 33 wks pregnant, can I get a dental filling!?
i just saw a hole on a side of my molar (omg), ikn if it was there before, and the bad molar covered it all this time, now the bad molar is removed, i saw a big hole on the tooth nxt to the molar I had extracted 2 days ago !.!.!.!.!. That molar had 3 root, it was kinda difficult to take out at first, when Dr got it out, 1 of the root broke, so he had to use a drill !.!.!.!.!. did he make that hole by accident !?!?!? but if that hole was there a long time, then it should be infected and hurt by now!.!.!.!.But, that tooth doesnt hurt at all, but i'm afraid foods and bacterias gets in it :-( !.!.!.!. So my question is !.!.!.!. can I get a fillin when i'm 33 wks pregnant!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

When I was pregnant they told me they wouldnt do any work until after the baby was born!. Something about the anaesthetic might start contractions!. So I would hold off if your not in pain but have it checked out!. I believe you have to have a letter from your Ob/Gyn sent to your Dentist if they are going to do it stating that it is okay for them to do so!. Best bet is to talk to your dentist first about the tooth issue, then to your Ob/GYN if your dentist does want to do work

I don't really see any reason why not!. I got a bridge-crown installed when I was six months' pregnant!. Unless there is an underlying health problem or you're in a very advanced state of pregnancy (you might start labor), you really should not put off dental work if you can avoid it!. That's because the longer it waits, the bigger it gets and the more it costs to fix it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
