Question: About Braces ):!?
Okay!. Im 13 and getting my braces in 9 days!. im first getting the top ones on first because i have an over bite!. im not exactly sure if my ortho-Donist ment i was getting a lower expander or a top expander!. anyone who has/had and expander an braces i would love to hear about their stories and if anyone can tell me about the lower expander!. Links and pictures are very appriciated!. Thanks!. Points for best answer!.

Well, i had the EXACT same thing as you!. I had to first get top braces!. Then , i had to get an expander!. The top one is annoying because your food sometimes gets stuck on the top!. and the bottom one produces a lot of spit! And you have to tighten it each night so it hurts more as it expands your mouth!. And you talk weird, but you will get used to al the delays in about 2-4 days!. Don't worry, it is not as bad as everybody says it is!!

Well I've had braces for about a year and a 1/2 now, and sure i can't eat some foods without getting caught at the ortho dontist, but braces are actually pretty cool! i mean, it may not seem that way at first cuz when u first get them, they hurt like hell, but after awhile, it's like they're not even there! and before you know it, if you eat the right kind of foods, and follow the directions, you will get ur braces off as soon as possible and have a lovely smile and straight teeth, mon!Www@Answer-Health@Com

This is an upper expander (which is almost the same exact thing as a lower one!.)
It just helps your jaw widen!. It just feels a little tight!. I have braces and don't have an expander!. But my cousin does!. She says its not too bad!. Hope this helps!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

An expander is basically something that you wear on your teeth that expands your jaw when you turn the key!. It is sore at first!.!.!.but it should get better!
