Most orthodontists don't "tighten" anymore!. They still call it tightening but it's really just getting a new wire!.
They remove the wire from your braces!. Which doesn't hurt!. They clip off the ends or just give you a whole new wire!. The place it in, put on the colors or bands and VOILA!
It's not very sore!. It just feels a little tight!. It depends on how much they did with your wire!. Just ask!. It shouldn't hurt that bad! Good luck! :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

your teeth can hurt when you bite down and when you eat stuff, but thats only for the first few days!. after the first few days, your teeth should be back to normal!. when they just get tightened, the rubberbands adjust your tooth position, and as much as it hurts you just have to resist it!. itll go away soon just dont pay attention to it!. haha i go to sleep everytime i get them tightened to forget the pain o;

you dont feel much in the dentists office, but after about 15-20 min you start to feel the pain!. it's not too bad and it only really hurts when you try to eat or chew gum!. it'll go away after a day or two!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
