Question: Does it hurt when you get your braces for the first time!?
Im getting braces for the first time!.!.!.and they have to take 2 teeth out!. one from each side of the top of my mouth!. In about 3 weeks im actually getting them on!. Does it hurt!? Do they even make your mouth numb!? And my friend also told me that "spacers" hurt! What are those!? HOw long does it take!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

About braces!. Your teeth don't need to be numb during the "Braces Procedure"!. It doesn't hurt!. They just take special braces glue and attach the bracket to your tooth!. You don't feel much!. It doesn't hurt!. They just take a special light to help the glue dry and your on your way!

Well in the process of getting your braces on, no they do NOT hurt!. They put this seperater in your mouth and polish your teeth then glue on the little peices on your teetth!. Then they are goin to insert a rubber band on your front two teeth IF you have a gap and then tie the bands together then start putting your wire through!. It takes less then a hour or little after a hour depending on how fast they are working!.
After the process
Your teeth are going to be really tender!. You have to drink soups and drink really soft foods!. I have mines in the about a week and i can finally start eating regular foods!. The ortho is going to tell you what you can and cannot eat, and it gets annoying when your not able to eat the things you want!. good luckWww@Answer-Health@Com

OMG spacers are WORSE than braces in my opinion! Spacers are little blue rubber bands they put in between the teeth in the back of your mouth to make room for the bands when they put braces on!. They put them on a week before braces!. Spacers hurt badly the first day and it's a good idea to use Advil, Motrin, or Tylenol, as often as the bottle or box says u can!. Braces don't hurt when they put them on, but they are pretty sore later that night!. The pain lessens each day and lasts about three days!. It's really weird to eat with spacers and braces at first! The food has like no flavor at first! but it will get better!Www@Answer-Health@Com

when i got my braces for the first time they ached like for a week or so, but their fine after that!. they also can be a bit sore after each tighteing so pack soft foods to eat that day, unlike me who brought an apple to school!!!
also you shouldn't really worry about having teeth pulled out because i had most of my teeth pulled out!. and also i had this huge operation where they knocked me out for a while to take my wisdoms out and about 7 more teeth, and i survived that so it does hurt for a bit but you'll get used to it!

It doesn't really hurt when you first get them on, but 1-2 hours later your teeth will start to hurt very badly!. I got my braces on about 2 1/2 years ago, and I could barely eat when I first got mine!. Take some ibuprofen or Tylenol and that should help quickly; it always worked for me!. Just hang in there, you'll be glad when you get them off and see your beautiful straight teeth! Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com
getting teeth pulled hurts, but they numb ur mouth!. its not "painful" but really uncomfortable
and getting braces on doesnt really hurt (unless u have chapped lips, then it SUCKS) but its not comfortable!. your teeth will hurt afterwards for about 3 days!. and no, they dont numb ur mouth!.

They don't hurt when they actually glue them on (although you may feel a bit uncomfortable!.) It will hurt when you tighten them, so eat lunch/breakfast/dinner before you go in!. They will probably be sore about 3-4 days, and motrin usually helps!. Just remember, the pain won't last forever!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
idk wat spacers r either, but i got braces on in december!. it didn't hurt getting em on!.!.!.pretty much wat they do is put super glue on ur teeth and then put metal brackets on them, then stick a wire through it to pull ur teeth straight!. it does get pretty sore sometimes when u get a new wire!.!.!. u do get sores afterwards!.!.!.wear wax and it should help, make sure that u keep ur teeth clean!. good luck! look foward to the wonderful turnout!Www@Answer-Health@Com

yah it makes u a liitle sore and u get canker sores just take i b profin and get kanker sore medison and u should be fine!. hope ur okWww@Answer-Health@Com
