Question: Do diet products cause dry mouth!?
I have been drinking one slimming liquid for a week, at first i felt thirsty so i drank a lot more water!. A few days ago, i started to notice that my lips were dry and chapped, now even my mouth is very dry and i have this nasty sour taste inside!. I dont know if its related to the diet drink but i have read through a few articles claiming that most diet pills can cause side effects such as dry mouth, irregular heart beat(which i also had), etc!. The worse thing is, yeast is starting to grow on my tongue due to the dry mouth!. Does this ever happen to you!? If i stop drinking it now, is it going to fade away!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes, they will cause dry mouth/thirst!. I agree you should be eating real food!. Anything that is chemical based will mess up your metabolism!. Some sites say you should be drinking an ounce of water for every 2 pounds you weigh already, and if the diet drink makes you lose weight quickly, it may contain diuretics making you lose water weight leading to greater thirst!. Diana Schwarzbein says you can't lose more than 2 pounds of fat per week, so the diets that say you can lose more weight than 2 pounds a week will make you lose lean muscle mass or just dehydrate you!. Lean muscle mass burns calories more, so you don't want to lose that! And you need water for all your tissues to function properly!
