Baby molar extractions?!

Question: Baby molar extractions!?
My son needs to have a couple of baby teeth (molars) extracted!. They are wiggly, but wedged in between teeth!. I'm hoping most of the roots are gone since he can wiggle them!. Will they bleed alot and how long before he can eat something!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
First of all, if your son can, have him continue wiggling the teeth, the looser he can get them beforehand, the easier they will come out at the dental office!. I have even seen dental appts!. cancelled because the child popped the teeth out on his own !

Yes, if they are wiggly, most of the roots have to be gone already!. They should not bleed much at all, and he will probably just bite down on some cotton for a few minutes after they take them out!. He can eat again, carefully, as soon as he feels he can do so safely, because he will be numb!. As long as it is soft things, pudding, soup, etc!., and nothing tough or pokey like chips or bagels he should be able to munch away an hour or so afterwards!.

Has some childrens Tylenol or Advil handy for the soreness after the numbness wears off!. Usually by the next day most soreness is gone !Www@Answer-Health@Com
