I've had braces for a pretty long time now, and from my experience, eat pudding or a milkshake (from Wendy's) and then take Tylenol right after!. There are also mouth sore relievers at any local pharmacy that should help a bit!. They never really helped me, but I guess they could help you!. If the pain is from getting cut by one of the braces, then put wax at the place it hurts so instead of the brace cutting your gums, it cuts the wax!. If this persists for like 2 days then tell your mom that the braces won't stop cutting and the orthodontists can fix it!. I know that cutting is EXTREMELY annoying!. What I do when I get my braces tightened is just try to get my mind off it!. Don't whine to your parents, it'll just make it worse!. Also, if it REALLY hurts and you waited a little after you took Tylenol, try sleeping!. Just relax, try to forget about them!. They hurt like hell, I know but you might as well treat them well because then you'll just go through this even longer!.

I hope what I said helps!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

im not sure if you mean the pain of the braces moving quickly or the brackets rubbing and making raw spots on your cheeks

if its #1 the only thing you can do is use some tylenol
if its #2 then make sure you pick up some orthodontic wax from your clinic and place a tiny wad over the bracket that is causing the painWww@Answer-Health@Com

Rinse with warm salt water!. Also your DDS will have some "wax" you can use to cover the brace that is rubbing the inside of your month raw!. It comes in a little box that snapped open!. As your DDS about it!. Works great!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Definately warm saltwater rinses for about 30 seconds each!. About a cup of luke warm water with a tsp!. of salt, mix and rinse!! Good Luck!

Also, did your ortho give you any wax to put on the brackets that are causing your sores!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
