Question: Braces are cutting my mouth and tongue!. SERIOUS pain! help!!?
i just got my braces ABOUT 5 days ago,
and my friends say it only hurts for about that amount of time,
they all have braces too and they never had it this bad!
The part where the wires are connected at the back of my molars have sharp metal that cut the side of my tongue!
It hurts when i just TRY to talk and or eat even soup!
not to mention my bottom braces are LITERALLY cutting the inside of my mouth, like full on skin ripping!. It hurts SO much! I tried wax too, but after a while it starts to fall off!.
my cheeks are cut too, it hurts so much and the pain isn't going away!. so pretty much my entire mouth is just raw!.
HOW LONG TILL IT FINALLY STOPS HURTING!
AND ANY WAY TO DECREASE THE PAIN!Www@Answer-Health@Com

the same thing happened to me!. but i gaurentee you i was in way more pain!. haha!. my mouth was constantally bleeding!.
just try to keep the wax on it!. all the time keep the wax on it!. especially when you go to bed!.
keep taking advil, it will help with the pain alot!.
sucking on ice cubes is also nice, and if you get!.!.!.i can't remember the name of it!. maybe orajel!? but i'm not sure!. you apply it to cuts in your mouth and it numbs them for about a half hour or so!.
and soup will probally burn because its hot and its getting inside of the cuts, try something cooler, like apple sauce!. thats all i ate!.
and the pain should go away in another 2-5 days depending!. the pain in your teeth at least!.
your going to keep getting cuts in your mouth for a little while!. for me it was about a month but day by day there were less of them, and now i only get cuts every once in a while!.
IT gets better, i promise! i went through the same exact thing!. but thank god i'm going to be getting mine off in a few months!.

If things are this bad and friends with braces say theirs were never like it then see your own dentist again!. Perhaps yours need adjusting to make you more comfortable!.
Soothe your sore mouth (poor baby) with salt water gargles to heal the tears and try teething gel to numb the pain!. If you apply the gel 20-30 mins before eating it should make meal times more pleasant!. But you MUST see your dentist so get your mum to make an appointment!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

yeah it definatly hurts a lot when you first get them!. For me the pain stopped after about two weeks!. And to help get rid of sores and stuff you should ask your orthadontist if they have anything for that stuff!. Mine did and it basically healed a lot of cuts on my mouth over night!. It was three years ago so who knows, they might even have better stuff for that!Www@Answer-Health@Com
try seeing your orthodontist, cuz it shouldn't hurt THAT bad!.!.!.!.!. my orthodontist usually asks me if anything's pointing out or hurting so she can fix it before i go!.!.!. maybe you should ask your orthodontist to do the same, or check to see if anything's hurting before you go!.!.!. =]Www@Answer-Health@Com
go to your ortho !.i was guna say the wax but if you say it keeps fallin off then ,id just go with my first option which is to just let the ortho know about it maybe he can fix the wires so that they dont cut the in side of your mouthWww@Answer-Health@Com
Put wax on the bracket if they keep cutting you!. Just take it out when your eating!. You don't want to swallow it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
