Would you change dentists if they had a standard where it was ok for them to call and cancel your appointment at any time for any reason but yet if you so much as come 5 minutes late to your appointment they will cancel you out!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Let me tell you from the standpoint of working in a dental office!. I worked in one office where patients were always accepted, even when late!. What would happen is that people came late, and the patients scheduled after them would have to wait until they were finished, and then the doctor would get behind and by the end of the day we would be behind an hour and patients would complain about the wait!. On top of that, the doctor felt rushed and then would get in a bad mood!. And it would all start with that one patient that was five or ten minutes late!. So offices enforce the policy to be on time not to fill their pockets, but to be courteous to other patients who expect to be seen when scheduled!. For example, patients might come during lunch breaks and have to be seen on time, or the dentist might have a train to catch or his at the end of the day!. As for the dentist cancelling patients, do realize that they are human too (with families!), and may have an emergency just as the patients do!. If you decide to move on, just don't complain if you're waiting in the waiting room for an hour one day because the last two patients before you came late and were allowed to be seen!. Otherwise, what's important is that the dentist you choose is a good dentist and one who makes you feel comfortable, because that's hard to find!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

even if you're not that busy most of the time,
i don't think it's fair for them to just cancel and
reschedule when they think is right and just leave
