Wisdom teeth: get them out sooner or wait for my appointment?!

Question: Wisdom teeth: get them out sooner or wait for my appointment!?
Hi!. I am scheduled to have 2 lower impacted wisdom teeth surgically removed in 23 days!. In the meantime, I noticed (last night) that one of them has become "partially erupted"---with just a sliver of tooth visible!. I have read enough to know that a partially erupted tooth poses greater risks than an unerupted one----namely infection!. Now, the question: should I call my oral surgeon tomorrow and try to get the surgery pushed up sooner, or will I most likely be OK over the next 3 weeks until I have my scheduled surgery!? I am supposed to take a trip to Baltimore from 08/05 - 08/13, but if I have to cancel the trip and push the surgery up I will!.!.!.

Thanks in advance for your replies!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
As long as they are not causing any pain, you should be fine for the next few weeks!. Yes, there is an increased risk when they are partially erupted, but people have partially erupted teeth for years sometimes without causing any problems!. Just be sure to brush what you can see of the teeth and the surrounding areas and you should be fine!.

On the other hand, many offices do get cancellations on a daily basis, so if you are available to fill in if they have time, I'm sure they'd be glad to take you earlier!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I just got mine out 4 days ago!. I was nervous about it but it really isn't that bad compared to the horror stories I've heard!. The worst for me was the bleeding afterwards that you continuously have to drain out and the not being able to eat foods!.

Anyway one of my teeth were partially erupted for a few weeks but I didn't notice any pain or discomfort so I was fine!.
Some people can go years with no problems

If it is painful or infected then yea call in otherwise wait because 3 weeks isn't much of a difference for teeth!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
