Question: First Dental Appointment!?
Hey, hopefully I will be going for my first dental appointment sometime next month!. I'm a young male with a really bad crowding!. I was wondering if its even possible to consider the notion of getting braces at my first ever dental appointment!. If not, what should I expect then!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I applaud you for taking the first step toward good dental health!. It is amazing how many things in your body dental health is connected to!. At your first dentist appointment, you will have your teeth cleaned, x-rayed (so that they can see how much root development you have, wisdom teeth, etc!.), and then if needed the will advise you of any further treatment, such as braces or fillings, but you won't get them at the first appointment!. More invasive dental work like putting braces on can take up to two hours, so this is usually done at a separate appointment, but before the dentist/orthodontist puts braces on, they take measurements and molds of your teeth!. This way, they know exactly what your mouth looks like and specifically what the best form of treatment is for you!.
Some advice before your appointment:
Make sure you brush twice a day if you don't already and floss (I always get in trouble for not flossing)!. You only need to floss once a day at the most!.

The first appointment is to just look at your teeth and see if any work needs to be done!. They may even take molds of your mouth, but i can assure you that you will not get braces first time!.
