Question: Braces retainer question
Once i get my braces off (i got them on yesterday so this will b like in 1!.5 years from now), i get retainers right!?
Do i have to wear these retainers for life!?

Well i have a retainer i have to wear it every night but not in the day you are only allowed tol drink water with it in and you Must not eat with it!.
In for a year you have to wear it every night then for 5 years you have to wear it every second night then after you only wear it between once and twice a week i do not know if it will be the same for you because we probably have different dentists!.
But you can get a thing privatly which is a brace on the back of your teeth but i do not recommened this because it is expensive and you have to wear a brace on the inside of your mouth the rest of your life and it is hard to clean and fixed forever!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes you will get retainers after your braces get off or else your teeth will go back to their original state(not fully but they'll try)!. It depends on your treatment whether you wear them for life(i recommend it), but you willr be required to wear them 24 hours a day for a while and gradually recue the wear!.!.!.
for example-

once a week
once a month!.!.!.etc
my sister had her braces on for five years because she didnt take care of them and her treatment was extended!.!.!.so make sure that you brush 2-4 times a day and floss every night to keep your gums from being irritated from bacteria and DONT eat nuts!.!.!.!.lol
i get mine off in january so the time goes by fast and you'll get used to them!.!.!.but best of all your teeth will look nice in the end!

your orthodontist will "graduate you" after some years and you won't have to make another orthodontist appointment again, also, from then on you only have to wear them at night!.

your supposed to ware them while you sleep actually!. and for the first like!.!.!. 4 months maybe, hopefully less time than that, you have to ware them every day every hour, but after that you have to ware them at night only!. The dentists say for life, but if you can go to sleep without your teeth shifting for like 6 weeks in a row, then you shouldn't have to ware them anymore!. You are supposed to wear them for life!. My friend's mom just found hers stuck in the vaccuum cleaner lol!. But year I got my braces off in February and I'm supposed to wear my retainers (they're the clear kind) all the time except when I eat!. But I was like screw that I had braces for more than 2 years I want to show off my teeth not cover them up so I just wear my at night before I go to bed!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I only know on person who has a permanent retainer!. And yes, you can wear them when sleeping!.
My son only wore his at night and now he doesn't have to wear it all anymore!.

Yes you will be geting a retainer and please wear it a lot of people don't wear it for like a hour and they teeth shift really quickly and no you don't have to wear it for life and yes you do wear it at night here is a good website about retainera

You should wear them for life, I stopped wearing mine because I was sick of having to wear them all the time, and my teeth moved back!. So , I had to get a new retainer witch was about 100 bucks!. Luckily I didnt need new braces all over again!. So yes you wear them at night while sleeping and you should wear them for life!. =)Www@Answer-Health@Com
im getting braces on in a couple of days and i had them on in second grade too!. in second grade i had them on for only 6 months!. and after i got them off they gave me a permanent retainer which is just a wire that is semented on the back of my 4 front teeth on top and bottom! i hope this helped!!!!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com
they are not for your whole life, depending on your doctors opinion you will where them for whatever amount of time he gives you!. For me, the retainers were clear and you couldnt see them when i was wearing them!. After awhile, my doc told me to where them only at night!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
i have to wear mine till i'm 21 (i'm only 16) and yes you wear them while you sleep!. and some of my friends have to wear them everyday all day for at least a year it just depends on the ortho you go to!. lol

You wear the retainers to bed for the rest of your life unless you want those teeth go to back crooked!. As for the day, you don't need to wear a retainer then!. I have a permanent retainer on my bottom teeth!. It is behind my teeth!. Works great!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
you have to wear the retainer 24/7 for the first few months then they suggest you wear it at night for the rest of your life to prevent your teeth from moving would say do that because my aunt didn't and she had braces twice and her teeth are crooked againWww@Answer-Health@Com
you don't have to wear retainers for life!. sometimes you have to wear them 24/7 right when you get your braces off, but that's just for a few weeks, then it goes to just wearing them at night!. there's also different retainers!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The retainers arent permanant they only last for a set period of time usually a couple of months they dont even hurt and u get to take them off wen u eat so they r a lot like removable braces Www@Answer-Health@Com
