If it is IN your mouth you can't use abreva!. Abreva is only for the outside of your mouth!. Some things you can do is take 1000 to 3000 of L-lysine a day!. You can purchase this in the vitamin section!. It works very well for sores in the mouth especially if you take it sooner than later!. Don't eat foods that will rub against it and make it worse!. Stick with soups and soft foods!. It may or may not be a cold sore!. I have determined that I get these if I use toothpaste with SLS in it!. If you get these often you might want to try SLS free toothpaste!. It doesn't taste as good as regular toothpaste!. I don't use it every day but it seems to help!. Also there are some "covers" you can buy from oral b!. It's basically like a bandaid for the inside of your mouth!. This helps it heal much faster!. More than likely what you have is a canker sore which is not an a form of herpes like cold sores!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
