Question: Rubber bands on braces question!?
Ok hi i have had my braces on for 11 months now and my orthodonist said that they would evaluate me this month but he said he doubts they will take them out though because my molar is being stubborn! So he said maybe next month!. So they told me to put my rubber bands in a new way like connect it to the hook to the top hook then to the bottom hook then to the hook next to that one so it forms two triangles!. I can still open my mouth this way a little but the rubber bands are visible when i talk and i dont want people staring i only work part time ( 4 hours ) so is it ok if i just put my rubber bands in a simpler way like connect the bottom hook to top hook ( the way i had it before) or no!? My ortho told me to put my rubber bands this way because they took of the power chains and said that if i put my rubber bands in two triangles it will help my teeth stay together, I only plan to use the simplier way at work and then when i come home from work i will wear them how my ortho told me is this a good plan or bad !?!?!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

i would say, if you want all that money you've put into them to go to waste go ahead as you plan!. But thats a lot of money to waste just cause you think people will stare!. To tell you the truth, so many people young and old have braces that no one cares anymore!. Its not like customers are gonna make fun of you or anything like that!. i don't think it's a good idea!. you should wear the rubber bands exactly as the ortho told you to!. it's only for another month or so, you can handle it!. think about it--- another month with really visible rubber bands, or a few more months of braces because you didn't wear the rubber bands the way you were told to!?Www@Answer-Health@Com
