i have moderate to seviear (no idea how you spell it!!) crowding on my lower teeth and they look really bad!. i have been on the waiting list for about 1 1/2 to 2 years now but when do you think i will get my braces put on (fixed ones)!. i have got to have some teeth taken out to and an extra one in the middle so that may delay the time because i having it done at the hostpital!. (!?)
i would also like to know if i will need spacers and bands on my back teeth and do they hurt!?
i am 13 so what colours should i have and does it look okay to have red and green at x-mas!?
i no its alot of questions but i just want to know! i'm going to the ortho in like 2/3 wees so i probs find out then but i'd like to no sooner!

Heya Well This Might Seem Abit Of An Essay But Here We Go Lol,
Back In February I Was Refered To The Orthadontist My Appointment Came Through The Post 2 Weeks Later I Went And Was Told I needed Fixed races All My Teeth Are Straight Apart From I Have 2 Fangs I Think You Called Them Pointy Teeth Lol!. So I Went To The Ortho In February Had All The X-Rays And Photo's And Everything Then I Went Through And Had 2 Moulds Done For My Bottom Teeth And My Tops Omg It Tastes Awful! Then The Orthodontist Told Us They Would Send Us Through An Appointment Through The Post Yet After 4 Months We Got Nothing So My Mum Rang And Found Out They had Forgotten About Me Lol! So Then a Month Later In July We Finally Got An Appointment To get My Fixed Braces Put On Next Week <- Life Story Lol!. As For Spacers When Your Mouth Is Crowded Usually They Put Them On For A Week Or So And Ive Heard They Do Hurt Abit And Then The Following Week You Get Your Braces Fitted Im 14 Btw And Im Going For All Dark Blue I Guess Youve Heard About All the Colours That Stain And Stuff But Dark lues More Noticeable And they Said On My Top Teeth With My Fangs They Attach 2 Bands Around The Hooks And It Pulls Them!.

Hey dude, I have had braces on my top and bottom teeth for like over a year now so figured I could try to help!.
I'm not sure about when you will get your brace on, becuase my dentist is an orthadontist aswell- so I didn't have to wait at all, and I needed teeth out but my dentist took them out, like I didn't have to go to the hospital or anything!. So I can't really comment on that!. Sorry!.
It's totally fine to have red and green at xmas, if you can't pick a colour you can get them see through!.
To move your 'spikey teeth' down at the top, the brace will just be put on so that it pulls them down!. It won't look or be any different to your bottom brace!.
So when you get a brace, they fix brackets to each tooth!. They put a bit of glue on, put the bracket in the glue and use a special light to dry the glue and keep the bracket in place!. Then they fix the wire onto the brace and use like mini elastic bands to keep them it in place!. (You can pick the colour of the elastic bands)
Getting your brace put on, or getting the wire changed doesen't hurt, but it does hurt for a few days after!. It just kinda aches because the brace is pulling your teeth!. Don't worry though because you can only feel it pulling for a little while and a painkiller can sort it out and for the majority of the time you don't notice the brace is there and it's totally worth it, because it sorts your teeth out =)
Don't worry about it, and anyway when you go to the ortho in a few weeks they will tell you all of this and make sure you understand what they are going to do, and if you still wanna know things, just ask them
Anyways dude, it's not that big of a deal!.

I had braces when I was 12 (i'm now 26)
Mine were for the top!.
I had teeth out and had my braces fitted about 4 weeks later!.
I had spacers and bands and they are fine once they are in, I found they hurt when they are tightened to bring the front one back into the space made from removing teeth!. I would suggest taking a painkiller before you go to reduce the pain you are likely to get get afterwards!.
I don't know anything about the colours, I didn't have a choice other than white!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
